Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions set out the basis on which One Stop Car Garage (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides its services to you. By booking a service or asking us to carry out work on your vehicle, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Our services

We provide vehicle servicing, MOT testing, repairs, diagnostics, brakes, exhausts, tyres, air-conditioning regas, ECU remapping and related work for cars and small vans. We will carry out all work with reasonable care and skill, using parts of suitable quality for your vehicle.

2. Quotes and pricing

The prices shown on our website are guide prices. Your final price depends on your exact vehicle and the parts and labour required, and will be confirmed before any chargeable work begins.

  • We will always agree a price with you before carrying out work;
  • If we find additional work is needed once we have started, we will contact you for approval before going ahead;
  • Our price-match promise applies to genuine, written, like-for-like quotes within 15 miles. Terms apply.

3. Bookings and appointments

When you submit a booking through our website, you are making a request rather than a confirmed appointment. We will contact you to confirm a date and time that suits you. If we are unable to reach you, your requested slot will be held while we try again. Please give us as much notice as you can if you need to change or cancel.

4. Collection and delivery

Where available, we offer collection and delivery of your vehicle within the Benfleet, Essex area for a flat charge of £20. This service is subject to availability and the area we can reasonably cover. You are responsible for ensuring the vehicle is accessible, taxed and roadworthy for collection unless we have agreed otherwise.

5. Payment

Payment is due on completion of the work, before the vehicle is collected or returned, unless we have agreed other arrangements in writing. We will tell you which payment methods we accept when you book.

6. Parts and workmanship

We use parts of appropriate quality for your vehicle and will tell you whether they are genuine or equivalent before fitting. Any guarantee on parts and workmanship will be explained to you at the time and may be subject to the manufacturer’s terms. Guarantees do not cover wear and tear, misuse, accidental damage or faults arising from work carried out elsewhere.

7. MOT testing

MOT tests are carried out to DVSA standards. An MOT is an independent assessment of your vehicle’s roadworthiness at the time of the test and is not a warranty or guarantee of its future condition. Where your vehicle fails, we will explain the reasons and offer a free re-test within the permitted period once any agreed repairs are completed.

8. Your vehicle and your responsibilities

  • Please give us accurate information about your vehicle and any known faults;
  • Please remove valuables and personal items before leaving your vehicle with us;
  • Vehicles left with us are at your own risk except to the extent any loss is caused by our negligence;
  • Please collect your vehicle promptly once we let you know the work is complete.

9. Liability

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not liable for pre-existing faults, for issues unrelated to the work we carried out, or for any indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited by law. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

10. Cancellations

If you need to cancel or rearrange a booking, please let us know as soon as possible. We may charge for parts already ordered specifically for your vehicle where they cannot reasonably be returned.

11. Complaints

We want you to be happy with our work. If something is not right, please contact us as soon as possible so we can put it right. Most issues are quickly resolved with a friendly conversation.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
